How We Deliver Visual Excellence...

Since 2013, Ellsworth/Lim has partnered with luxury hospitality brands, architects, designers and developers to create visual assets that shape perception, strengthen brand identity and elevate asset value. Our work extends beyond image-making. We understand design, construction, operations, guest experience and the commercial realities behind luxury properties—allowing us to create imagery with purpose, not simply decoration.

Panakeia Superyacht / Navigating the Journey From Stills to Cinematic Assets
Our Roles
Lead Interior Designer
Refit Design Lead
Creative Director
Photographer
Cinematographer
Visual Asset Strategist
Originally launched by ISA Yachts, the 45.5-metre Panakeia embarked on a comprehensive 14-month transformation that redefined nearly every aspect of the vessel. What began as an ambitious vision evolved into a complex international undertaking involving a complete redesign of the interiors, extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades, new furnishings and textiles sourced from around the world, and a full exterior renewal including fresh paintwork, new decking and numerous design improvements.
As lead designer for the new interiors and an active participant throughout the refit process, my role extended well beyond visual documentation. For over a year, I worked closely with shipyards, contractors, craftsmen and suppliers across multiple countries, helping guide the yacht's evolution from concept through completion while she continued to operate within the luxury charter market.
The challenge was not simply creating beautiful imagery. Photography opportunities were limited to brief windows between renovation phases, sea trials and charter commitments. Every image and film sequence needed to communicate a seamless luxury experience while the reality behind the scenes was one of constant construction, coordination and transformation.
The result was a complete collection of still and cinematic assets that documented not only the yacht's renewed appearance, but the story of her reinvention. From carefully crafted photography to immersive cinematic sequences, the visual narrative became an integral part of repositioning Panakeia for her next chapter in the global luxury charter market.

Inside the Decision-Making Process
Five Strategic Questions We Regularly Discuss With Owners, Asset Managers, General Managers & Brand Leaders.
-
Yes. In luxury hospitality, delayed handovers are the rule rather than the exception. We routinely work around ongoing construction, incomplete landscaping, phased openings and operational constraints. The goal is not simply to hide problems, but to strategically prioritize what is ready, identify the strongest visual opportunities and create launch assets that support commercial objectives without compromising credibility.
-
These objectives are not mutually exclusive. We structure productions to deliver both aspirational brand imagery and comprehensive asset documentation within a single shoot. Marketing teams receive emotionally engaging content that drives perception and demand, while ownership and asset managers receive the broad visual coverage required for reporting, sales, development and operational needs.
-
Every property has been photographed. Very few have been interpreted. Our process begins by understanding the brand positioning, guest journey, design intent and competitive landscape. Rather than simply documenting spaces, we create imagery that reveals what makes a property memorable, allowing it to stand apart in an increasingly crowded luxury marketplace.
-
Absolutely. Modern hospitality brands require visual assets across multiple channels and platforms. We approach every production as an asset-generation strategy rather than a photography assignment. A carefully planned shoot can produce content for websites, advertising campaigns, social media, public relations, sales presentations, investor communications and future marketing initiatives, maximizing both efficiency and return on investment.
-
Healthy debate often produces the strongest work. We are hired not only to execute but to contribute expertise. If different opinions emerge, we focus on the project's objectives, the brand's long-term interests and the intended audience. Collaboration is essential, but so is professional guidance. Our responsibility is to advocate for the strongest visual solution while ensuring every stakeholder feels heard and respected throughout the process.
